Mr. Al-Salahi is the Chief Commercial Officer providing oversight and Management of Supply Chain synergies from procuring of raw materials, contracting services and warehousing to enable manufacturing taking place and facilitate delivery of finished goods to customers for Qatar Chemical Company Ltd (Q-Chem), Qatar Chemical Company II Ltd (Q-Chem II) and Ras Laffan Olefins Company (RLOC). Ahmed held various positions in Q-Chem, one being the Marketing Manager overseeing the Sales and Marketing and Distribution activities. Classification: General Business as the of Lotrene® High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Normal Alpha Olefins (NAO) produced in Qatar where he also held the position of the Business Services Manager overseeing the Supply Chain Department activities, Material and Contracts Department activities. He also worked in various positions prior to joining Q-Chem in 2011 in Projects Consultancy and Project Management in addition to Government and International relations. Ahmed brings in many years of experience finding opportunities for synergies in Supply Chain between procurement of raw materials and spares and sales of finished products enhancing the value chain of the complex during difficult markets situations.

Mr. Al-Salahi holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Arizona, United States of America and master’s degree from Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He is pursuing his PhD in Sustainable Energy at Hamad Bin Khalifa University with emphasis on plastics sustainability and offset. Ahmed is involved in the various initiatives of synergy within Qatar and has been working with sister companies in leveraging synergies, collaborations, and knowledge sharing along with lesson learned in Qatar and in the GCC.
