Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Oudan is the Executive Vice President of SABIC’s Corporate Human Resources since May 2015. He is the Chairman of the Board of Eastern Petrochemical Co. (SHARQ) and is also actively serving on the following Board memberships:

  • Board Member of King Abdulaziz & his Companies Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity (Mawhiba)
  • The Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Energy Sector Training Board of Trustees
  • Arabian Society for Human Resource Management (ASHRM)
  • Employers Advisory Board at Prince Mohammed Bin Salman College
  • Member of the Global HR & Remuneration Committees at SABIC
  • Member of the Nomination & Remuneration Committees at Silah
  • Member of the Nomination & Remuneration Committees at Saudi Exports Development Authority

Since joining SABIC in 1995, he has held various leadership positions as General Manager Global Talent Management; General Manager HR- ME&A, Leader of IT Center of Excellence,  Leader of IT Business Partnership, Business Process Management and other key leadership roles focused on SABIC’s strategic transformation agenda. In addition, Al-Oudan holds a degree in Management Information Systems from King Saud University, Riyadh.

Al-Oudan is well known for his strong leadership in SABIC Global Human Resources and his drive for transformation. He also played a pivotal role in SABIC’s Information Technology strategy with noteworthy contributions to major enterprise wide projects. Today in his role as EVP of Corporate HR, he leads a Global HR team dedicated to enabling human capital for SABIC’s operational and strategic ambitions.

His proactive leadership style ensures effective achievement of the Global Human Resources function through engagement, setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, ensuring adherence to guidelines with view to maximizing the return to the Corporation, its shareholders and our employees’ experiences.

In his role today, Al-Oudan as the EVP of Corporate HR he leads a Global HR team dedicated to enabling human capital for SABIC’s operational and strategic ambitions. This encompasses the key elements of the talent cycle; attracting, developing & retaining world-class talent that  SABIC needs, today and tomorrow in an ever-evolving global economy.

He has also recently led the transformation journey of SABIC’s Global Corporate HR function to its current process-centric Human Resource Management approach. The meet the demands of the business, HR has evolved to become business centric, via a Strategy Driven HR Model; hence enabling the capability for HR to anticipate and respond to change(s) and improve enterprise-wide collaboration and impact.
